In Florida in late September, I was excited to present a TEDx talk on climate engagement to a national audience of leading neonatologists. Key highlights from my presentation included:
- Climate change affects everyone: our patients, our facilities, and our families, regardless of who is at fault;
- The solutions we need are more efficient, healthier and quickly becoming cheaper than what we’ve been using;
- Addressing the climate crisis requires not just personal actions but rapid, large-scale social change;
- Ignoring the climate crisis is draining, but engagement is energizing. It gives us hope;
- To best serve our patients, we must see beyond our exam rooms to include the health of our planet as well.
You can amplify your impact today by becoming a Climate for Health Ambassador. Your leadership on climate is more crucial than ever.
